Static cling film holds by surface tension against clean glass — no adhesive, repositionable, and removable without residue, which is why it suits rentals, seasonal displays and retail packs that get handled. Adhesive film bonds permanently and stays put on larger panes and high-traffic glass. We make both, and the choice usually follows how the end customer buys, not the pattern.

On clean, flat, non-textured glass, yes — that is the condition. It fails on frosted, sandblasted or heavily textured surfaces, and it fails when the glass was cleaned with anything leaving a film. We ship application instructions with retail packs for exactly this reason: most returns are application problems, not product problems.

A reflective film reduces solar heat gain by rejecting part of the infrared and visible light before it enters the room; it does not insulate against cold. How much it rejects depends on the film construction and which side of the building the glass faces. For a specific project we give the measured values for the exact film — not a category-level claim.

A one-way mirror film is highly reflective on the brighter side, so it reads as a mirror from outside during daylight and stays partly transparent from inside. It depends entirely on a light difference between the two sides — after dark, with lights on inside, the effect reverses. Worth stating plainly to end customers, because this is the most common complaint on retail listings.

Thermal stress cracking is a real risk when a dark, high-absorption film is applied to the wrong glass — annealed glass, large panes, partial shading or existing edge damage all raise it. It is a specification question, not a product defect. For project glass we ask for the glass type and size before recommending a film.

Yes. Custom printed window film is a standard part of what we do — your artwork or a pattern we develop with you, printed and converted in our own factory, on static cling or adhesive base film. Send the spec and target quantity and we will come back with a sampling path.
